THREADING FAQ’S

  • Threading is an ancient hair removal technique that involves twisting 100% cotton thread around unwanted facial hair. The hair becomes trapped between the cotton thread which allows the hair to be pulled from the follicle, allowing for a slow regrowth. Some women say they believe threading last longer than waxing. This may be because threading is able to remove even the finest hair, giving a totally smooth clean finish.

    Over the last decade, eyebrow threading has become the preferred method for removing facial hair and eyebrow shaping, due to its advantages over waxing. Threading allows for complete control over which hairs are removed, even super fine hairs, resulting in a perfect arch and fabulous shape

  • The origins of threading have long been debated however it is believed that the ancient technique originated somewhere in the Middle East or India. In recent years the popularity of eyebrow threading has surged in Western cultures because of the precise defined shape it can give to your brows.

  • No, threading can be used all over the face to remove any unwanted facial hair. Threading is able to remove even the finest hair making it an ideal solution for all facial hair removal.

    Accutane or Retin-A Users: Many doctors recommend threading for users of Accutane or Retin-A as waxing can burn and tear the skin. Of course, should you have any concerns we always recommend speaking to your GP.

  • Full Face:

    It’s advised for 24 hours after treatment to avoid touching your face and not to perform other treatments (such as facials) and to keep your skin clean and free of germs, sweat, makeup, chemicals or skincare with active ingredients such as AHA (acid, exfoliating properties).

    Brow Lamination:

    It’s advised for 24 hour after treatment to avoid touching your brows, avoid self-tanners and do not get the brow hairs wet. Water or excess moisture can reverse the treatment or cause brow hairs to frizz.
